Specialist Areas

Every person's experiences are unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counselling. Whether you're living with the effects of trauma, anxiety, addiction, bereavement or relationship difficulties, I offer a warm, compassionate and trauma-informed space where we can explore what has brought you to therapy. Together we'll work towards greater understanding, healing and lasting emotional wellbeing.

Addiction and Recovery

Recovery is about much more than stopping a behaviour or substance. Together we'll explore the experiences, emotions and patterns that may lie beneath it, helping you develop understanding, resilience and lasting change. My professional experience within addiction services gives me a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals and families affected by addiction.

Trauma

Trauma can affect the way we think, feel and experience the world, long after difficult events have passed. Together we'll work gently and safely to understand your experiences, helping you build self-awareness, emotional resilience and a greater sense of safety. Therapy will always move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Anxiety & Stress

Anxiety and stress can leave you feeling overwhelmed, exhausted or stuck. Together we'll explore the thoughts, emotions and experiences contributing to how you're feeling, helping you develop greater self-understanding, practical coping strategies and renewed confidence. Therapy offers a calm, supportive space where you can slow down, make sense of what's happening and move towards lasting emotional wellbeing.

Bereavement & Loss

Bereavement and loss can affect every part of life, whether you're grieving the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a change in health, or another significant life transition. Grief is a deeply personal experience, and there is no right or wrong way to navigate it. Together, we'll create a safe, supportive space where you can process your emotions, honour your experiences and gradually find a way forward while carrying your memories with compassion.

Families Affected by Addiction

Addiction doesn't just affect the individual—it can have a profound impact on partners, parents, children and the wider family. Living with or loving someone experiencing addiction can bring feelings of worry, confusion, guilt, anger and isolation. Together, we'll explore your experiences in a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space, helping you understand the impact addiction has had on your life, strengthen healthy boundaries and support your own wellbeing and recovery.

Co-dependency & Self-Worth

Co-dependency can develop when we become focused on meeting the needs of others while losing sight of our own. You may find yourself putting others first, struggling to set healthy boundaries or questioning your own value. Together, we'll explore the patterns and experiences that have shaped these beliefs, helping you build self-awareness, strengthen your sense of self-worth and develop healthier, more balanced relationships. Therapy provides a safe and supportive space to reconnect with who you are and what matters to you.

How We Can Work Together

Whether you're seeking support for a specific difficulty or simply know that something doesn't feel quite right, therapy offers a confidential space to pause, reflect and move forward at your own pace.

I offer counselling in person, online and by telephone, tailoring our work to your individual needs. Together we'll create a safe, compassionate space where lasting change can begin.
