Meet Joanne
Hello, I'm Joanne, and thank you for taking the time to visit Aligned Minds Counselling. I know that reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and finding someone you feel safe talking to is just as important as deciding to begin counselling.
As a qualified counsellor, I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is bringing you to therapy.
My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, recognising that every person's experiences are unique and deserve to be understood with care and respect.
Alongside my private practice, I work within addiction services supporting individuals and families affected by substance misuse, trauma and recovery. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the relationship between life experiences, emotional wellbeing and lasting change.
Whether you're experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, addiction, bereavement or simply feeling overwhelmed, I will work alongside you at a pace that feels right for you.
I believe people can heal when they feel truly heard and accepted. My passion for counselling comes from seeing the difference that compassionate, non-judgemental support can make during life's most difficult moments.
